Start and Run a Copywriting Business (and other writing titles) |
Yup, the book is finally done, and look to get your hot little hands on it in late June or early July!
What’s In It?
In a nutshell, I’ve combined and heavily updated the content of BOTH Well-Fed Writer titles. The original Well-Fed Writer laid out all the basics of starting your own commercial writing business through the lens of MY story (and well enough to be a Book-of-the-Month Club selection). TWFW: Back For Seconds filled in the missing pieces while adding the perspectives of dozens of other writers.
Because those two books contained a ton of commercial writing business-building fundamentals that have not changed, you’ll see a lot of familiar stuff. After all, why would I reinvent the wheel (he said, perhaps a tad immodestly…)?
But now, everything you’ll need to reference is in ONE BOOK, not two…
But, Make No Mistake…
Check out the Table of Contents here. As mentioned, you’ll see a lot of familiar headings, but don’t be fooled – it’s not all the same stuff. The book covers plenty of new ground.
- New writing avenues
- New writing project types (with a whole host of contributing experts)
- The “how-to” detail of making $125 an hour
- Using social media
- Tons of new stories and anecdotes
- Dozens of NEW commercial writing voices and profiles
- Links to a pile of supplemental web-based content
- Updates/additions to countless subjects throughout the book – reflecting changing trends, five years worth of new experiences, and a more seasoned perspective. Check out a sample chapter here…
I Already Own Both Original WFW Titles, So…
…Should I buy the new one? Hey, your call. If you’re wanting nothing less than all new information in the new book, don’t buy it. You’ll likely be disappointed. If you’re looking to have ONE book with the fundamental and timeless biz-building content from BOTH award-winning originals, HEAVILY updated throughout, and with plenty of new sections and new insights, then pick it up. Course, (and I’m smiling as I write this…), I’d hope you’d enjoy supporting the work I do to keep good information coming your way through the ezine, blog, knowledgebase, and other well-fed resources!
In the meantime, the ebook versions of the books will always be available here.
